Visiting Melbourne: Queen Victoria Market Photo Diary

Macaron anyone?

Last month I visited Melbourne, Australia for my brother’s wedding (aww). As I was only in the country for a grand total of four days, and with wedding preparations and all, I only could spare one day to play tourist. So…my family and I, being born shopaholics, found ourselves in Queen Victoria Market.

No big deal, its only the largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere (thanks wikipedia). Ok, i didn’t know that at the time, but really, its huge. And I think you can probably find just about anything you want here, from clothes to toys, vintage stalls to electronics and more. I, however, naturally gravitated to the food section. Macarons, meat and antipasti all at reasonable prices came as a shock to my system having lived in Singapore for the past 8 months. Yes, I was in heaven.

After eventually dragging ourselves out of the seemingly endless stalls, a casual stroll down the river and Henley landing was a welcome break.
