Introducing Glampact: The New Luxe Make-up Compact for the Girl on the Go

The nifty new luxury beauty compact you need to know about!

To be honest, when I first heard about the launch of a product called ‘GlamPact’ I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The predictable image of a portable make-up compact sprung to mind as I made my way to their launch event, but I was unsure as to what would set the product apart.

When I actually got to have a touch & feel session with the GlamPact in person, it reminded me of those toy barbie compacts that I used to play with as a child. It felt exceptionally feminine with the intertwining G’s, a detail that founder & CEO Jennifer Cheng mentioned had been mistaken for the Chanel ‘C’ whilst she was using it in a restaurant.

A former actress & model, Cheng, who dabbles in many entrepreneurial e-commerce projects as well as heading the Glam-it! empire (the company has expanded from an e-commerce site selling ethical beauty, fashion & accessories to a physical store in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong) understands what it means to be busy. She was inspired to develop and create GlamPact to simplify the beauty routines of women like herself, with a million & one things to do.

Opening up the GlamPact, you realise just how much it has to offer as a beauty product. Three different sections slide out to reveal an SPF 30 CC pressed powder in two shades, blusher, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow, lipstick PLUS make-up tools (synthetic brushes for lip, cheek, eyebrow, and eyeshadow/eyeliner).

Inside the GlamPact

To finish the product off is the well-sized mirror lined with LED lights that can be switched on or off according to your lighting needs (plus a handy USB charger). I love this unique touch – it literally seems as though you are porting around your very own Hollywood dressing table in miniature, definitely upping the Glam factor.

In terms of make-up quality, during the product development stages Jennifer Cheng and her team ensured that ingredients were beneficial to the skin, containing clinical ingredients and botanical extracts with anti-ageing benefits. In particular, I’m a big fan of the ‘Cheeky’ Blush shade, a similar colour to the cult NARS Orgasm blush (which, to be frank, I wasn’t that impressed with for the price-point), but less pearlized, creating a lovely subtle flush that gives a natural finish.

Whats more, as well as the GlamPact being made of 100% recycled plastic, all the make-up inside is refillable – with customisable refills to be stocked on the Glam-it! website – making your new compact friend an eco-friendy, reusable and functional investment. Personally, I think the GlamPact is enjoyable to use and injects a bit of fun into your beauty routine, and so far am really loving the lip & cheek colours.

Available in two colours – pink and black – the GlamPact will retail for S$128, and is available to pre-order HERE on their website. You can also follow their Twitter and Facebook for the latest Glam-it! news.

I like how you describe it as "porting your own Hollywood dressing table in miniature". Sounds all so glamourous! However, I wonder if the cc powder suits the different skintone range across the board.. Nonetheless, very interesting and its even more tempting when I read"available in pink"!

      Hey Ida,

Thanks for your comment! It does feel quite glamorous and girly to use. The two shades were chosen during development to compliment most Asian and Caucasian skin tones – it doesn't provide a huge amount of coverage but it can be built up plus its great as a blotting powder! I'm quite impressed with the quality of the make-up in general.
