Visiting Bangkok: Touristy adventures in a new hat

I wonder what I was thinking when this picture was taken?

Its pretty cool how a new accessory can lift countless outfits and put everything into a new sartorial perspective. I found this wonderful beige hat in a boutique in Siam, and it was pretty much one of those ‘got to have it’ moments.

Yep. That was the moment. In hindsight I feel as though I should of also bought the tee, no?

So the next day, my new hat and I played tourist and took ourselves on a boat tour around Bangkok. If you’re keen, you can make your way on the BTS to Saphan Taksin station, and then its only a short walk to the pier to hop on a Chao Praya Express Boat – just follow the crowds. This boat will take you the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (a popular tourist hotspot) or near the infamous Khao San Road, every backpackers dream and home to some seriously buzzing nightlife.

Afterwards I made my way back to my friend’s beautiful apartment in downtown Sala Daeng (the peak of the business district in Bangkok), took a lift to the rooftop and took in the wide-ranging city scape.

Taking it all in…
Infinity pool in my backyard? Yes please
Maybe if I lift my arms a little higher I’ll actually take off…?

Today I’m Wearing:

Top from Siam Street Market, Zara shorts, Mosstories flats, H&M sunnies

Location: Sala Daeng, Siam, Bangkok
